An initiative of the Upstate SC Alliance, Move Up is a website built specifically for visitors considering relocating to Upstate SC, supported by print and digital materials. Upstate employers and talent acquisition professionals have access to Move Up’s free tools that make talent attraction easier:

1. Cost of Living Calculator

Show your candidates how they can give themselves a raise with our region’s low cost of living.

Our Cost of Living Calculator allows users to compare the cost of living in their current city with the cost of living in the Greenville, Anderson or Spartanburg metros. Users can see how living in Upstate SC compares to areas like Charlotte, Atlanta, Nashville and many more metro areas across the country. Let them see for themselves how much further their salary will go — and how much less they will pay in bills and essential costs — in Upstate SC.

2. Job Board

“Move Up’s professional print materials allow us to showcase what life and work are like in Upstate SC, particularly when we’re recruiting outside the region,” says Elba Lizardi, Site Director at BASF Environmental Catalyst and Metal Solutions (ECMS) in Seneca. “In the last year, we’ve hired about five people from outside the area.”

These materials are made available, at no charge, for Upstate employers to use. And, they all help to paint the picture of what it means to live and work in Upstate SC, referencing the trove of information on our website.
