Tribe513 Relocating its Corporate Headquarters to Greer
May 1, 2018
Tribe513, a faith-based, independent medical group consisting of Parkside Pediatrics, Brio Internal Medicine, Vida Gynecology and the Breastfeeding Center of Greenville has announced that it will be relocating its corporate headquarters to 139 E. Poinsett St. in historic downtown Greer.
On Friday, April 13, Tribe513 closed on the purchase of a portion of the former Mutual Home Store building in downtown Greer. Upon completing renovations this summer, the site will become home to 70-80 existing team members with additional growth planned over the next five years. In addition to the establishment of its new headquarters, Tribe513 announced that it plans to open a Parkside Pediatrics location on the site later this fall.
In a separate transaction, Grace Church closed on three adjacent buildings, including the old D&D Ford facility. Grace Church has announced that upon finishing its own renovation plans, it will transition its current Greer campus over to the newly renovated buildings. Grace and Tribe’s collective investment in these historic sites in downtown Greer represents exciting growth for the city.
“We at Tribe513 could not be more excited about what lies ahead for our team in the wonderful city of Greer,” said CEO David Martin. “Our group is centered on the belief that we are called by God to love and serve one another humbly in love (Galatians 5:13), and our goal is to keep that front and center. This expansion into Greer affords us the privilege of serving more people than we could before, and we are truly humbled by that. I would like to thank the City of Greer for its support and partnership, without which this development would not be possible, as well as Grace Church who worked with us on space needs to ensure both parties could create the home they desired for those they serve.”
With a corporate culture rooted in a strong faith, Tribe513 prides itself on its vibrant, energetic, and hard-working employees. “At Tribe513, we refer to our employees as ‘Team Members’ because without them, we have nothing,” said Martin, “and we work hard to create an environment where we are all challenged to be the very best versions of ourselves that we can be each and every day. I’m so excited for the Team Members who will move to this new location, and I know downtown Greer will be a wonderful place for them to work.”
The Mutual Home Store in Greer ceased operations in April of 2016. Some of the six contiguous parcels representing more than 30,000 square feet on 1.45 acres in downtown Greer have been virtually unused for years. The acquisition and redevelopment of these historic properties by Tribe513 and Grace Church will continue to usher in the dramatic transformation of a significant portion of historic downtown Greer that will include a new, Hilton-branded hotel and a 300 space parking structure.
“We are extremely excited to welcome Tribe513 to the City of Greer’s vibrant central business district. With easy access to the adjacent Greer City Park, the property will offer an unbeatable location in historic Greer Station for Tribe513’s staff and patients,” Greer City Administrator Ed Driggers said. “This is certainly a time of great momentum as the City and business community reinvest in Greer Station to make it a premier destination in the Upstate.”
