BMW may have export operation at Inland Port

A building next to the new South Carolina Inland Port in Greer may house a BMW export operation, according South Carolina Ports Authority president and CEO James Newsome.

South Carolina Ports Authority president and CEO James Newsome told members of the Rotary Club of Greenville on Tuesday that a facility being built next to the inland port is where BMW will break down vehicles to export to Russia, Thailand, and India – places where you can’t ship set-up vehicles due to customs duties and other issues.
